Mahayana / Vajrayana Buddhist art
I mainly referenced three different depictions of Avalokiteshvara, and it is interesting how the artists each did little variations within the same iconography (one had a very realistic animal pelt suggesting the artist's familiarity with the real thing while the others were more abstract. So I used that one especially for the pelt but a different one for the jewelry. For my mutation I added a third pair of arms and attached a vajra to the beads.

the wiki page for the Venus figurines says many archeologists disapprove of calling them that since they literally have nothing to do with the roman goddess. Personally I kinda like calling any sculpture of a woman past present or future a venus

Do you render on white? I usually set the background to a cool grey when coloring a figure. Everything looks more saturated on white than it is.
