The WaPo is blaming “the left” for forcing Democratic leaders to walk and for shutting down the government?!?! Hahaha. Try again. The fault for this shutdown lands squarely with the party that is in power of all branches of government. And thank goodness some Ds finally are showing a spine.

Part of what this reveals is what US labor has been arguing since the late 19th C. At will employment impedes political democracy. If u can lose ur livelihood for ur (non violent & non harassing) beliefs, then being an engaged citizen is all but impossible.

I had NO idea Jimmy Kimmel started in Seattle. So very 2025: I get my 90’s “news” from @theneedling.com and I’m defending Kimmel. Real fake news, indeed. Make it stop please.

And he got pertussis when he was 18 months from another kiddo at childcare here in Seattle. He was on the early cusp of whopping cough making a comeback. I was so flipping relieved that he was fully vaccinated for his age and I hadn’t spaced any vaccines out. It was very scary!
