Everyone likes to get together Friday nights in October for horror movie night.

Tonight‘s choice was “The Notebook”. Nosferawwwwtu can’t watch. They hide behind the sofa when the kissing gets too much. 😁👻💀🐇🦑🐈

Ghost hare is petting the cat’s stomach, and holding a blue bowl with popcorn on the other side, sharing it with Cthulhu, who is snuggled under his pink bunny blanket. Cthulhu is helping himself to popcorn with his tentacles.
Behind the sofa, on the left, is my OC Nosferawwwwtu, a green-grey creature with very long fingers and strange green fangs, who has one hand over their face, peeking through their fingers.
If you look closely, some of the popcorn is skull shaped.
They are doing Horror Movie Night, and tonight’s movie is “The Notebook”.
The background is dark, and the sofa is dark brown.

We as artists need to uplift one another. Someone's work makes you smile whenever you see it? Tell them so! Your a fan of their style/use of colour/ designs? Let them know!! Artists (especially smaller one's), don't get told often enough that their art means something to someone else.

Jossiel was from the time I was into Diablo 3/Immortal. It was more focused on his mother, an angel from the Sin War whose escaped the Realm of Damnation, and made mortal to suppress Skarn's corruption that'd render her a demon. Joss' own "corruption" in-game partly echoes hers.

Roaring this into the void of those who believe “artists need to suffer to create great art.”

You create nothing when you’re busy trying to cope, survive, and meet other obligations. A safe space and support are bare minimum for anyone to have the emotional and physical ability to create at all.

Some of Van Gogh’s best work was done during a period in his life what he spent in a hospital being treated for his mental health problems. I could be wrong but I think “Starry Night” was one of those.

This is consistently the case. Creators tend to do their best work when they are in a healthy place and receiving proper treatment, and not being self-destructive in their efforts to cope. Go figure.

All our experiences, good and bad, inform what we create, but suffering is not the price of great art. Suffering is what prevents us from completing great art.
