A free spirit, but don't poke the bear! Politics is not an abstract concept, it's life. Centre left, both extremes equally bad! Anti Brexit/reform/Tories/murderous world leaders. Pro-Labour. Love languages/travel/culture/nature/ food, not in that order!❤️

It's not how other people tell us we should feel, it's what's in our hearts and minds! ❤️
Great start to day: bubble bath with Dire Straits & Cold Play! Lots of work ahead!🙄😢 Once got stuck in a bath... no, not cos of my voluptuousness😉 I used some Dead Sea exfoliating salts, containing a lot of oil & kept slipping/failing to get a grip! Story of my life. (not an antisemitic post 😬!!)
Love this song. Only nice memory from a disastrous marriage. I seem to have a knack for falling for men who are either gay, bastards or insane. (Now there's a nice intro for a dating profile? 🤔😬😉) youtu.be/1b08uQcgD4M?...

Some much needed positive news from across the pond. Lots of good things happening, low level at the moment, but fingers crossed.

This is, apparently, according to The Lonely Planet. What a fantastic basis for a travel list. But ... as someone who got excited at the thought of going from south to north London on the Canning Town flyover, I think there's something interesting to enjoy everywhere!

Dodgey taches? Absolutely ... but who cares when you can sing like this! Such amazingly, beautiful, feelgood music. Late 70s USA at its best! youtu.be/P8RShs00yR0?...

Not a fan of #BargainHunt but today's featured visit to Laugharne: pronounced Larne & not Larf-arne, as I did😱 Learnt of it via drama 'Keeping Faith' but SOO worth a visit. Got to see the Boat House, where Dylan Thomas wrote many things & was inspiration for Under Milk Wood! @visitwales.bsky.social

Personally, I find all TV commercials about funerals, life insurance plans, old people's ailments etc. extremely irritating. But what WOULD improve them, however, is to have Catherine Tate's NAN, front and centre!

NB I really do love Christmas and always enjoy, whatever I'm doing/whomever I'm with (apart from disastrous trip to India - Golden Triangle: divine, but Anjuna, Goa: worst place on earth?) Christmas is a sentiment you find in your heart & mind, not off TV or in a department store.
Achtung... now, more than ever, this advice is invaluable. Do NOT watch TV in real time; record & fast forward where necessary. Christmas commercials are almost upon us, designed to give you a warm fuzzy feeling but... moreover, to spend your hard earned cash on a load of shite you really dont need!

Mad, bad or just plain revolting? 🤔🤔🤔 of course ... all three.
“His main theme was that the country was fucked. Largely because of Brexit. Weirdly, he has no memory of being the main architect behind the Brexit vote. He seems to think it happened in a world in which he played no part.”

I think having people fly this sort of flag is excellent & must be allowed to continue... Anyone looking to buy a house/move to a new area can immediately identify the calibre of person & go elsewhere. If you see too many flags appearing where you live, helps with that decision of whether to move!

Farage, is giving a speech railing against "unqualified" politicians being put in charge of Government departments but his own party put a teenager with zero work experience in charge of running an entire county

Bunch of clowns.

The party who claim to be patriots literally had a Reform leadership member caught red handed taking bribes from Russia.

This article details the speeches Nathan Gill gave that he was paid to give.

How are Reform getting away with this?

Woke early, so watching The Godfather, having seen sequel last week ... & SO regretting this. That would be cos it means I can't watch again for a while & these films are surely two of the finest cinematic productions ever. Give me spaghetti meatballs, red wine, Robert De Niro or Al Pacino now!

More than 47 million Americans — including one in five children — don’t have reliable, affordable access to nutritious food. And as the cost of living skyrockets, more families are depending on SNAP benefits, or food stamps, to put food on the table.
Wonder what the fu*kers hate the most: the fact that she's a Labour politician; or that she didnt go to public school; or ... the biggest crime of all ... she's a she! 😱😱😱

BBC cheerleading for Reform yet again.
Great piece on Radio4 this week about 'fishwives' & how the term is used as an insult. Fishwives are strong, hardworking, independent & have done an enormous amount to make the fishing industry safer. Things are getting better on the gender parity front ... but far too slowly! 🤨
Being accused of witchcraft then and now (yes, it’s still going on and women are still being murdered for it) has misogyny at its root. Often, women went from being called ‘hags’ to witches in the space of a few short years. Widowed or beyond child bearing age and they were considered a waste.
Between 1645 and 1647, more than 100 people in East Anglia were executed for witchcraft – most of them women.

Their only crime was being accused.

Stuart Burrell tells their story.
Can I get your @sirmichaeltake.bsky.social on this plse ... on the news, BadEnoch seemed to say her admission of hacking Harriet Harman's website doesn't count cos she was only 20 at the time! 😱 Does that mean it's Tory policy that a crime is not punishable if committed by someone of 20 & under?! 🤷‍♀️🤔
