Lap dogs are great, but have you tried a desk chicken?

Your mind is a marvel. Embrace that. It is not difficult to ascertain when students are using AI because the writing is bad. If your goal is to get a good grade, you want to put your best writing forward. I prefer flawed, human writing to mediocre machine writing.

I can't believe I need to have an AI policy! I made it pretty short though: Using AI is cheating, yourself mostly. In addition to the environmental blight created by AI, it makes no sense to use it in your intellectual and creative work. Why would you outsource your innate intelligence?

Awww, I’m so happy to hear that! They really do make great companions.

“Reply 1988” starts out slow, but it’s worth sticking with it. Tons of 80s/90s nostalgia and some real tenderness in the boys’ friendships. “Thirty-nine” and “Our Blues” are good for a cathartic cry!

There’s romance in those shows too, but friendship is central. Friendship (and sisterhood) is major in “Welcome to Samdal-Ri” too, and so many others. It one reason I watch more Korean tv than American.

@samsanders.bsky.social do you watch any Korean television? I know y’all were talking about friendship in American pop culture, but there are some great depictions of friendship in Korean tv. “Thirty-Nine” and “Reply 1988” and “Our Blues” come to mind.

The Sam Sanders Show
It’s about the things we obsess over in our free time: TV and movies, music and celebrities, Internet and memes, and the people who make it. No topic is too big or small. And nothing’s off limits.

My flocks are always small and tame. And I was trained by Karen Pryor (the animal behaviorist) to train my chickens.

I have literally been pecked in the eye by a chicken I raised. It hurt like hell and sent me to the emergency room, but I still adore chickens (just keep my eyes out of reach from their sharp and curious beaks.)

missed that typo because I am wearing neither 😜

I like having blue light blocking in the computer glasses and NOT on my regular glasses

I am one of those people. That was going to be my suggestion. But you do get more used to the progressive lenses over time.

Yes, she is! And at 10 years old she still lays eggs, poor thing.

That sounds adorable! I've always had a soft spot for chickens, but living with Tory inside has made me realize a lot of what makes our relationship with cats and dogs special is just how closely we live with them.
sweetsnbitters.bsky.social
Tory would never! She wears diapers tailor made for her in fine fabrics.

chickens are endlessly entertaining
she was lucky to receive such care!

She looks like it! Awww, Tina.

She has discovered that if she pecks the keys it gets my attention 😂

The blanket is cashmere. I gave her the cashmere 😂
