81. Breath of Fire

An interesting RPG.

Dull combat and a lack of dungeon music hold it down, but the really neat character gimmicks and really nice spritework and keep it as worth a playthrough.

No other games would do what Breath of Fire does, both for good and for ill.

This random ass knight would have become final boss material if we didn't stop him here and then.

For those of you wondering "huh what" at that one line in particular in the novel excerpt, that's their way of playing with "えっ、そういうことになっちゃうの？　欲望パージ的な"

And as I readied my excuses, Mai swooped in and kissed me.

Oh god. This was my first kiss with Mai in two weeks. I mean, well… We were friends with Rena-fits, so it just counted as a friend kiss. This was chill, totally… Totally chill…
