yooo I knew about bun but node has it now too?? sick!! I ran into a sqlite dep issue in node last weekend and ended up solving it by moving my dev env into a docker container lol

this does a good job outlining WHAT happens when you avoid facing the truth, but it doesn't touch on what I think are the more useful questions to discuss: WHY is facing the truth hard and HOW do you get better at it?

my aim SUCKS in Helldivers on a controller but it's better in every other way. also it lets me play while on my exercise bike so I'll never play it any other way. but yeah love controllers ngl

man I really want to try getting into Elite Dangerous again now that I have a HOTAS and VR setup (originally bought for DCS)

any tips on getting into it? it seems RIGHT up my alley but I bounced off it the first time I tried, I don't remember if it was learning curve or just not having a clear goal

microwaves and electric stoves are kinda crazy because we're converting heat to electricity at 30-60% efficiency just to transport it and convert it back to heat at 50-80% efficiency

I'm more interested in things like DBT and ACT, training distress tolerance and acceptance. I've been going back and forth with my new therapist on this, the last few sessions have basically been arguing about what we're gonna do lmao. but I think we've more or less reached an understanding now

I think this is a big part of why I'm so resistant to CBT (for myself). I've already tried thinking my way out of anxiety! I want to learn to *tolerate* anxiety and take action in the world *despite* it, not change my thoughts in the hope it goes away. but perhaps I'm thinking about it wrong
