Teaching 1L contracts has been SUCH a joy this Fall, but could not have done it w/o support from our Dean! Today's Brooklyn Bridge hypo brought her into the class, and the students had a lot of fun figuring out whether they could revoke before she crossed the bridge. 😂 @ugaschooloflaw.bsky.social

Huge thanks to the Philadelphia Estate Planning Council for hosting me on 9/18 at the Union League of Philadelphia to present my talk, “The Law of Digital Resurrection.”

Great opportunity to explore how the law has not kept pace with AI’s impact on death, and to discuss proposals for reform.

My prediction, as an expert on death+law, is that Charlie Kirk will earn far more dead than he did alive—thru postmortem publicity rights.

The question is whether proper planning was done while he was alive to ensure that someone with the requisite sophistication is managing those publicity rights

If you are paid a bounty by the FBI for turning in a member of your family, YES, the bounty is taxable.

The IRS considers all forms of awards as taxable unless they are specifically exempted by law. If you are not employed as a bounty hunter, it will likely be included as miscellaneous income.
