The VLR was like, oh well this is no big deal but moving forward (i.e., no luck for you) we will ask our members to do a better job of due diligence. That was it.

An interesting question. A couple of years back, a student note in the Virginia Law Review rewrote an article of mine (no acknowledgments). When I wrote to the editorial board and showed them my article, they said they wouldn't do anything about it b/c student notes don't count as scholarship.

I love this for our UGA 1L students!!!!

Teaching 1L contracts has been SUCH a joy this Fall, but could not have done it w/o support from our Dean! Today's Brooklyn Bridge hypo brought her into the class, and the students had a lot of fun figuring out whether they could revoke before she crossed the bridge. 😂 @ugaschooloflaw.bsky.social

With all the doom and trade gloom of late, I was thrilled to participate in this Trade Experettes' initiative, Ten Trade Wins, to talk about how trade initiatives engender the sharing of administrative strategies and experiences to eradicate forced labor.

📘 Ten Trade Wins is now live!

While debates continue, trade is already delivering real-world results—from food security to clean energy and digital inclusion.

I know everyone is consumed with other news, but this is a big fucking deal: The Trump administration says that IUDs and the Pill are actually abortions.

Here's what USAID told the NYT about the $10m in birth control they plan to destroy.

This flew by my radar this week, but massively important: the 5th circuit court of appeals ruled that the NLRB’s structure unconstitutional.

It is a huge blow to “American workers who hope to organize their workplaces without fear of retaliation. It represents a partial negation of the New Deal…”
Elon Musk Just Won His War on Labor Unions
The Fifth Circuit has done the mogul’s bidding and neutered the National Labor Relations Board, in a move that will likely substantially damage workers’ rights.

Unfortunately, the hearings were live through pre-registered links, only, and to my knowledge there is no such repository, which is a real shame.

Look at what happened to divorce rates in Mexico when some areas extended the school day by 3.5 hours!

Why did divorce rates go up as a result of the change?

I have a paper on this. Both administrations -- Biden and Trump -- touted their trade policies as helping workers in the United States while trying to accomplish other objectives. Trump's policy is just particularly egregious given that not only will it fail to help those workers, it will cost them.
