Hello, I'm The Big Bad Wolf.

You may remember me from such films as The Three Little Pigs, Little Red Riding Hood, Peter and The Wolf, The Boy Who Cried Wolf, and more.

My office hours are in the syllabus. Please leave goodie baskets at the door for extra credit.

Naughty children 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 be eaten.

Which is slightly funny because its name is both Deadly Nightshade and Beautiful Woman (Belladonna).

(For my non-Jewish trans friends, that should read, "The lulav and the etrog." A bundle of leaves and a proto-lemon.)

Like the Huckleberry and the Garden Huckleberry I posted elsewhere in this thread, you'll note that true Gooseberries have the flower attached to the base while the Cape Gooseberry looks like a Tomatillo/Ground Cherry
Gooseberry: Note the flower at the end of the berry. Cape Gooseberry: Note the rounded end and shell. Ground Cherry: Noted the rounded ends and the shell. Tomatillo: Noted the rounded end and the shell.

Dunno if it was troll bait, but I once saw a redditer ask about using Heart's All I Wanna Do Is Make Love To You at their wedding.

A song notoriously about getting knocked up by a one night stand because her husband was impotent.

I have had to introduce my allergy to five different GI specialists. Because medical education in the US is now severely lacking. 👀

Ugh. That's like Huckleberries (Ericaceae) vs Garden Huckleberries (Solanaceae).
Huckleberries: note the place where the flower bud used to be. Garden Huckleberries: Note the rounded ends.

This nightshade (Solanaceae) chart is AI slop and has three errors out of 15 items. 20% wrong.

It's super important not to f' it up because nightshades can cause inflammation and serious reactions.

Sorrel is Family Polygonaceae.

Gooseberries are Family Grossulariaceae.

Okra is Family Malvaceae.

😬 Yet. They don't use those systems over populated areas in the US, yet. 😬

If I've learned one thing about this administration, it's that there is no depth to which they won't sink.

I recently learned that military planes sometimes have a device on them to detect targeting lasers, and immediately deploy countermeasures at the "incoming laser-guided object."

Buddy was saying they have to test these systems from behind blast barriers because the retaliation is lightning fast.

Broken brain day. 🤣🐺

Friend: "Dinner last night. TexMex at a local strip mall joint in Salinas named Taquitos."

Me, Misreading: ...a local strip joint...

Me: "Why is my straight friend at a male strip club, and they called it Taquitos? Seriously?"

Friend: Why MALE strip club?

Me: 👇 Taquito. 😅🐺

I did this for an inorganic analytical/instrumental lab that hadn't been cleaned (or standardized) in 40 years.

I recently read this is actually a necessary thing in preservation of really old books?

Serves her right.

(Grumbles in Bass.)

I did that a month ago. Just started heating the rest of the house a little as it drops under 50 outside.

It's nutmeg, cinnamon, and clove. On pork. It'll taste like a pork chop.

That's NSFW. I'm just talking drawing a werewolf here. Or any fantasy species that isn't strictly human or elf.

People who would fall all over themselves to draw a dusk lizard for a monster manual but wouldn't stoop to drawing "furry."
tbbw1.bsky.social
One downside to being a fan of more traditional commercial fantasy illustrators is that sometimes I'll go into their commission docs and after reading everything I see the Will Not Draw includes "furry."

Bums me out.
