It would be creepier if it were coming from a human, I agree with that.

The authors of each paper will share an $8,000 honorarium. This is an awesome chance to bring your policy-relevant research to a policy-engaged audience!
tderyugina.bsky.social
The accepted papers will be published in Environmental and Energy Policy and the Economy (EEPE), an annual volume published by the University of Chicago Press. You can browse past EEPE volumes at the following link: www.journals.uchicago.edu/loi/eepe

While standalone projects are encouraged, we also welcome spinoff projects where authors intend to later submit a more extensive or technical version to a journal, or may have already done so. DM me if you want to discuss a possible project!

My co-editors and I will select 6 papers/proposals covering policy-relevant issues. The audience will consist of academics and professional staffs of government agencies, research institutions, and NGOs focused on energy and environmental policy.

There are many things I like about ChatGPT. But its built-in flattery is probably my favorite feature. I never knew I had so many excellent ideas.

I used ChatGPT to translate a .do to a .tex file.

Not bad for a first draft.

Every day I’ve been getting angrier when I think about how maga, the so called alpha male bros, always punch down at people who are less fortunate or struggling.

This isn’t manliness. It’s cowardly, it’s shameful, and it makes you look like a tiny little douche face

I tried this on a manuscript—I’m impressed! It flagged:

- A missing variable in a first-order condition
- An outdated manual calc (“drop from X to Y is not Z%”)
- Inconsistent notation
- Miscellaneous typos (“and and”, “+ +”)
- Missing subscripts
- Several unclear passages
