But schools are taking steps to tackle the problem: 62% of secondaries are taking action, such as assemblies, and 27% of primaries are doing the same.

Back in 2018, when we first asked, very few schools limited out-of-hours emails.

While still a minority position, the policy has grown in popularity – with 18% of schools not allowing emails to be sent on evenings, weekends or both ❌✉️

BUT, we have good news! Discussions about Andrew Tate among students are on the downturn.

Compared to 2024, reports of students discussing Tate are DOWN 10 percentage points (63% vs 53%) in secondary school, and DOWN 6 percentage points (21% vs 15%) in primary school.

Teachers are still noticing discussions of Andrew Tate among students.

In secondary schools, over 50% of teachers have heard students talk about him (44% positive, 34% negative). In primary, it’s less common: 15% have heard pupils discuss him, mostly positively (13% vs 5%).

Overall, teacher contentment has dipped compared to previous years. Senior leaders report higher levels than classroom staff (22% vs 17%), highlighting differences across roles.

Weekend habits matter for teacher wellbeing: those who exercised or socialised over the weekend reported higher contentment (20% vs 15%), while teachers who did nothing were twice as likely to give themselves the lowest score (7% vs 3%) 👎
