There's a lot of great content in Magic+ that expands so much on magic and spellcasting for Pathfinder 2e in a lot of interesting ways. Essence casting is, of course, the biggest part with at least 10 pages dedicated to making it work fluidly and in combination with almost any kind of spellcasting a PC can get their hands on, but another aspect I love about the book is how there's options touching on how to customize spellcasting to fit exactly the vision someone would see for their character. This includes specializing in just a few traits with the Eldritch Wicketeer, something that allows someone to really become a "fire mage" rather than a "jack of all trades mage", to the freedom to take advantage of the 3-action system like martials can much more easily with the dynamic variants of some of the system's most iconic spells. On top of that is the extensive rework of summoning and battle form spells to use a shared system via aspects, which enables casters to keep either their summons or forms consistent across a campaign.
Not every aspect of the book is going to work for everyone, though. For me, the parts that don't appeal are the archmage mythic destiny, as I don't intend to run mythic campaigns very much (though to its credit, the mythic destiny is at least usable by non-mythic characters if permitted to use them as a normal archetype), and the experimental incapacitation variant, which is a little too spicy of a concept for my table. The book is also extremely player-focused, and while there are a few fun items to give out like the scepters, most of what I as the GM in most of my table's games get to play with is an experimental way to allow NPCs to use essence casting.
Overall, I think Magic+ is one of the best supplements I've read, and I'd be willing to incorporate its contents into just about any campaign I run (or advocate for it in a campaign I'm a player in), even Starfinder 2e campaigns.
