I think the basic problem with all these low-effort horror movie adaptations of recently-public-domain cartoon characters is they always make the titular character the monster. Like, nobody gives a shit about a film where Mickey Mouse is a zombie; they want to see Mickey Mouse FIGHT the zombies!

(Forget UB drama, I want more small interesting products like Signature Spellbooks for LGS’s than the constant glut of Secret Lairs I just can’t care about anymore.

Also LGS distribution for product has gotten really bad and that makes it actively difficult to purchase my usual Bundle per set)

That said, for all the talk about the Spiderman as a set and UB being as dominant as it, I’ve definitely reduced how much I think about Magic the last few months.

I’ll just enjoy the game when the mood strikes and not worry about its machinations I can’t control, nor the constant fandom drama.

Logan’s Run (1976)

This was a delicious sci-fi classic to chew on. I really enjoyed how it felt like it was gearing up towards an ending then went on for another hour, surprising me as much as the characters are.

Great 70’s set design, and I appreciated the quieter moments of the film.
