I keep seeing predictions that Pete Alonso is a fit for the Giants… how?

Unless they trade Eldridge or decide to make him an outfielder (which he hasn’t played since ‘23 with less than stellar results), I don’t see how there’s a fit on the roster for a guy like Alonso.

Am I missing something?

They sure do… I know a lot of people are thinking Bochy right now, but even if they played well for him he’d likely be gone in 2-3 years. I feel like Buster would want a younger manager that could hopefully be around for a long time. Don’t really have any names I’d throw out at the moment though.
