Today would be my grandparents’ 76th wedding anniversary. It’s also the 21st anniversary of my Poppy’s passing. He said his life began the day they got married. I miss them every damn day.

Not my kids getting ICE whistles from our public library & making sure they’re carrying them everywhere! (My kids are all adults & this is a reasonably safe & effective tool.)

Where is this Nazi tattoo guy’s PR people? Because a campaign event having tattoos that no longer reflect your beliefs removed or covered seems like a great way to prove that’s not who you are any more… unless it’s exactly who you still are.

I’m pretty sure the call center reps at Humana want me on the no fly list. My bosses regularly express relief I’m on their side. I may look nice but you deny a pre-authorized service? We’re going to the department of insurance ASAP & now you owe 100% of billed, not our contractual rate.

I used to work for GI docs whose whole reason to get up in the morning was to gross out the biller & one would come in, pour his coffee & declare “my piss smells like Maxwell House.” Just casually at 9am to a fool full of folks who truly didn’t care.

A thing a lot of people don’t know about SNAP is there is typically a small bump in benefits in November & December to acknowledge the importance of food in holiday celebrations. The cruelty is always the point. We can afford to feed people in this country HANDILY.

When I got my 1st tattoo (at 27, married, 3 kids) my dad said “I did 3 tours in Nam without a tattoo & you can’t stroll thru Boystown, little girl?” Then because I’m clearly perfect, blamed my husband. 😂😂😂

Did my dad get drunk & do dumb shit? Of course. He was 19 & away from his batshit parents. He got drunk & got into a bar fight, because some dude was harming a sex worker, lost himself a couple teeth but protected the GIRL from harm. Not a single remotely Nazi tattoo.
