Most small breweries don’t have the pockets to fight it, and fewer think to take it to the press. If this gets enough ink, it wouldn’t surprise me if DC quietly withdraws the threat so that the bad press doesn’t spiral on them.

A judge is liable to ask why you failed to previously defend, and what’s different now.
That said - this should get tossed by any judge. It’s a frivolous case.
Companies send cease and desists to breweries all the time for satirical beer names invoking their companies or products. Disney is 2/3

Don’t know how the law works in France, but even in the US, DC would have to prove that her naming of the app could lead to brand confusion.
That said - trademark law in the US is curious. If you don’t defend your product, it actually weakens your TM. So if you pick and choose when you defend it 1/3

I visited the #Cyclades this summer. I like trying to capture #candid shots of people. I was eating at a cafe at the port in Paros when I caught a woman in charge of scooter rentals taking a break from the office.

In the Batman comics he finds multiple initiatives in an effort to do just this. He supports programs for employment of ex-cons, funds rehab programs for the insane.Part of the lore is that Gotham is basically cursed.

It was always amazing to me that they didn’t want to show anyone killed, so Joker had just left them with that horrific grin, and that somehow always felt worse to me - more nightmarish.
