The Texas law @heykellyjensen.bsky.social describes in this article effectively abolishes school libraries in Texas. Libraries rely on the curatorial expertise of professional librarians; otherwise they’re just buildings full of books.

Saw this last night in the theater with a friend. Probably the scariest film of the season. Absolutely chilling. Kinda funny that the whole packed room said “boooo” when President Weirdo was shown for a brief flash. People who love libraries and freedom of speech sure don’t like that strange old man

I just saw The Librarians today at WNED Studios as part of the Buffalo International Film Festival. If you haven't seen it and are against book banning (which you should be if you're my friend), you should go see it as soon as it is available in your area. Infuriating that this is happening in 2025!
