That entire initial run was one banger after another. I also have multiple copies of that issue.

I've done that walk. It's no joke.

You're absolutely crushing it today with the social posts.

Just turned in my annual best of list. 14pgs. If you've ever considered contributing to the @flmfrkcentral.bsky.social fund, just the smelling salt budget at HQ is outrageous.

This is coming from a place of love and support, but…

It’s ‘shoo-in,’ not ‘shoe-in.’

It’s ‘case in point,’ not ‘case and point.’

It’s ‘moot point,’ not ‘mute point.’

It’s ‘hunger pangs,’ not ‘hunger pains.’

It’s ‘jibe with,' not 'jive with.'

Writing a comment here in an effort to boost the post above it. Does that work here?

I did the thing. It went as expected.

I get those emails all the time. They obviously don't know their audience...lol

I gotta go do a thing in like, 20 minutes that I haven't had to do in about 25 years.

No, it isn't eating vegetables.

I relate to this a lot. Also, love that show :)

Loved Nabil's Star Trek aside. I genuinely wanted to hear him talk more about DS9, wormholes, and Klingon culture...lol.

It's very telling that the events of WWII are repeating just as the generation who fought in the war and remember the horrors of that time are either dead or end-of-life.

I've literally done this (and had it done back to me).

I'm working on a new book about TV dads and father figures. Like my previous books, I'm going to be doing a lot of interviews. If you have written for, worked on (acted) in a show featuring a strong father figure, or are a person that covers TV for a living, I'd love to speak with you! Hit me up!

So if you meet with these historians
I'll tell you what to say
Tell them that the Nazis
Never really went away
They're out there burning houses down
And peddling racist lies
And we'll never rest again
Until every Nazi dies

The world is riddled with maggots
The maggots are getting fat
They're making a tasty meal of all
The bosses and bureaucrats
They're taking over the boardrooms
And they're fat and full of pride
And they all came out of the woodwork
On the day the Nazi died

They say the prisoner at Spandau
Was a symbol of defeat
Whilst Hess remained imprisoned
And the fascists, they were beat
So the promise of an Aryan world
Would never materialize
So why did they all come out of the woodwork
On the day the Nazi died

We're told that after the war
The Nazis vanished without a trace
But battalions of fascists
Still dream of a master race
The history books they tell
Of their defeat at '45
But they all came out of the woodwork
On the day the Nazi died

I was able to complete my #1-10 run of X-Factor over the holiday. So that's something. Next up is to do a #1-20 of New Mutants and then I'll turn back to my Claremont era X-Men issue hunt.

I'm about to start working on a new book I'm contracted to do and things have been...rough, to say the least. I've had a helluva time getting behind the keyboard and getting anything down. You're absolutely correct that mental health as a writer is a #1 concern to take care of.
