I was thinking the same.

It’s like giving the Economics “Nobel” (quotes intentional) to Milei.

Which in essence they do year after year after year, as just neoliberals and capitalist stooges get these.

In the end reality comes to bite.
In Germany they did it and now are barely surviving. Macron is all but a political corpse.
Appeasement to billionaires as done as a political strategy. Either they don't cave or have to suspend democracy in their countries,
I also cannot see Spain agreeing on this.

I don't really get the euphoria about the current ceasefire.

I see nothing changed in the intentions of the major actors.

Israel still wants total victory and total annihilation of the Palestinians and to take their land. Resistance will not stop, as the alternative is death

The colonies in the 50s and 60s didn’t end after several centuries due to good will of the colonists.
They ended because the colonies now had access to arms and the domination could only be sustained with a huge effort (and cost) to the colonisers, which was unsustainable.
Now that’s again possible.

What’s terrifying is that previously that kind of war required very expensive airplanes and bombs to dominate over the colony.
Now with drones, you can sustain domination at a very low cost and no casualties from the colonizer.

Just the message “Oppose us and we’ll kill you from the sky”
