Sick or not, when going on a plant-based diet it is important to know what to substitute so that you keep your meals nutritions.

I usually eat a lot of tofu and tempeh, fair amount of seitan next to the whole food veggies and it works great for me in terms of nutritional value and feeling satiated

My gotos when I am sick are:
- miso ramen soups with extra tofu or tempeh
- bean soups
- lentil or chickpea dals and curries
- tick cream soups with lentils

If you want to mimic chicken soup, veggie or vegan chicken stock and soy curls/chunks are a great way to do it.

I don't think the chicken soup per se is what is helping cure you, it is likely the comforting factor, the hydration and the fact you are eating something nutritious that actually helps.

More power to you. The vegan community, contrary to popular belief is actually quite supportive in that regard. Just need to ask.

Some people do expect praise though, when they say "I introduced meatless mondays" or the like, which rubs us wrong because it shows that there is lack of understanding.

Аргументът ти с защитата на консумента би била валидна, ако даден продукт лъже за нещо. Тогава съм абсолютно за. Пример: Ако пише веган сушени краставица - source of protein - вкарайте ги в затвора. Ама "vegan burger" или "soy milk" да е проблем, за мен е нелепо и distraction of real issues.

Тук не става въпрос, за хората да стават вегани. Става въпрос затова, че се взима ясна посока (и по моему тя е грешна).

Вместо ЕП да приема промени за поощряване на алтернативни протеини, на храни с по-нисък екологичен отпечатък, на полезни растителни храни, да махне субсидиите от доказано вредни храни, те ясно взимат позиция в другия край.

Четвърто, не ме разбирай погрешно, моето дърлене не е с теб. Да, ядосва ме, че и ти започна с теза, която репрезентира, точно това, за което лобито се бори. Но проблемът ми главно е, че всичко това измества от реалните проблеми, като климатична криза, биоразнообразие (да не споменавам и други).
