The point is, that multi billion lobbies are at play here and people get hung up on this stupidity and start debating if it is ok to call something "vegan [insert word here]" or not.

Distraction from the actual problems is always a good strategy.

Yeah, that's what I am saying, let's rename it. Let's also change the name of honeyberries, because they don't have actual honey. While we are at it, I think milk is also technically incorrect or unspecific at best. Cow's mammary gland secretion sounds much more correct.

The EU should ban producers from making salami in the shape of cucumbers. People might get confused and buy salami instead of a cucumber.

The European Parliament has voted to ban vegan meat alternatives from using terms usually associated with animal products (e.g. hamburger, sausage, etc.) on their packaging.

This is so, SO STUPID!

And a great example of elected politicians working in favour of particular industries and companies.

While it is easy to get things wrong at the start, it is also quite irresponsible when you have a large following, especially if you at the end dismiss it with a BS excuse and go back to your old ways, feeling good about yourself that you "made it for a month".

I admire where you are coming from and your positive take, however this is not my experience at all. Mostly they make weird takes and often they confuse veganism with a diet. The gist is not necessarily positive at all.
