Using patient-derived optic #organoids and #multiomics analysis, researchers discovered a new role for #PAX6 in regulating SOX2 and Notch signaling during early eye development, offering mechanistic insight into PAX6-related ocular disorders.

Using hiPSC retinal #organoids, @cumedicalschool.bsky.social researchers discovered a critical checkpoint in early eye development marked by a wave of retinal ganglion cell death.

These findings could guide research into congenital eye disorders & human retinal disease models. 👁️
