This is my drawing of a spooky sculpture of Ankou, the Breton personification of death, from the church of Lannédern in Brittany. His name possibly derives from the Celtic 'nek', meaning 'to perish'.

I just learned my short story “The Bale,” has been accepted into the Capture This anthology from Linton Press.

I’m really happy about that. Although fictionalized, it’s based on what happened to my maternal grandmother’s family in 19003/4.
