Ultimately, the ideology being attacked by this administration is liberal democracy itself. Everything they attack is a core part of what Americans have culturally held as a part of our identity. The sooner folks can see and articulate this, the better.

I'm so happy that @markhamillofficial.bsky.social is so outspoken in his opposition to fascism and authoritarianism. I couldn't take the cognitive dissonance of someone who played Luke Skywalker defending the Empire when it shows up IRL.

I am loving proof people can change from one side to another through education, empathy, and introspection. I was raised in a cultural paradigm closely aligned with Christian Nationalism, but I'm on the other side of it now. It just took me having the courage to ask the questions I was taught not to

It feels like the political overton window has shifted far to the Right because the wealth class controls our media and owns our politicians.

Meanwhile, the vast, vast majority of people belong to what would now be portrayed as “the extreme Left.”
