Yes, and on tonight’s BBC QT, a Conservative MP, an intermittent senior Reform member who sometimes can’t bear his party’s policies, and a right-wing former IEA member. That’s balance, BBC-style.

No room for one of the 72 Lib Dem MPs, whose election elicited a BBC “congratulations, I suppose”.

A reminder that 75% of people support a wealth tax.

To the ‘patriots’ saying they’ll leave the country in a strop:

Paying a wealth tax on assets above £10m is not a hardship. You'll still have a fancy house, fancy car and a fancy life.

Patriotic Millionaires know. @patmillsuk.bsky.social

Former Head of Comms for the IEA, Annabel Denham, says the super rich will leave if we have a wealth tax.

Yes, the very same IEA that brought us Liz Truss’ disastrous mini budget. 🤦🏽‍♂️

Green Party leader Zack Polanski explains that their taxable assets can’t leave. #bbcqt

It is embarassing not to see the BBC pulling up Reform leaders claiming that Nathan Gill was just some fan who got photos taken with Farage - he was an MEP for them & their leader in Wales while taking cash from Russia to act against the UK! Literally the very basics of your job to point this out

Nor did London but that's the way it works

Wow. Robert Jenrick doubles down by branding a black journalist's questions "ridiculous" and saying that the problem is not his comments, but "journalists like you who pop up and try to knock me down", adding that "this is the reason why terrorist attacks happen". ~AA

Yes. And then Starmer et al, equally get the hell out of X.
There’s no justification for a democratic government to still be there.

A peerage can only be removed by an act of parliament. The last time that happened was in 1917.

Our House of Lords is completely unfit for purpose, and the likes of "Lady Mone" can keep her position for life without consequences.

“Nobody who had any part to play in the PPE scandal...should have any role in public life. Baroness Mone should have no role in making & passing the laws we all live under. Her title must be revoked immediately"

As soon as Farage is challenged in a perfectly legitimate attack on Reform policies he immediately claims he is being put at risk of assassination. Either he doesn't understand how democracy works or he wants to shut down debate. I think it's both.
