FIEL Houston executive director Cesar Espinosa criticized the city's mayor and police chief more than a week after Emmanuel Gonzalez Garcia, a 15-year-old boy with autism, reportedly went missing while he was selling fruit with his mother. The boy ended up in federal custody.

It is! Bought it at an event at Brazos Bookstore with @mattlanza.bsky.social speaking about the 1900 storm, and with the author there to sign copies. I’ve become a little obsessed with the storm history over the past year, so it was a cool event to attend
