It occurs to me a bunch of people are about to be new to poverty. I have some advice, if you want it.

1. This will be counterintuitive: Spend it while you've got it. Some money comes in, one way or another? Buy food. Buy tp, soap, shampoo, toothpaste. Socks, underwear. You'll thank yourself.

Yeah, found it a bit of a snooze I'm afraid. There's plenty of gross-out material if you're into that, but it pretty much focuses on that at the expense of a quite fun core concept.

They can't make us better, but most disabled people are constantly in need of money. Because we can't work regular jobs. So that's one way to help. Sorry to be crass but it is the plain truth.

It's a lot easier to be in pain with sufficient funds, than it is to be in pain with insufficient funds.

I don't love this either (and I guess I've done some pretty tight curation bc I'm not seeing it 😄) but my understanding of verification is that it means they are who they say they are? Not that Bluesky endorses their content.

Of course, realistically, we know people will take it as an endorsement.

Those "suckers" and "losers"? They always have.

My entire life so far, Democrats have voted for measures that are good for everyday people in the armed services, that help them, and Republicans have voted against these. And yet, Republicans get the military vote.

I don't understand it at all.

Some of them will try it and find it just doesn't sound the same now

I don't know why there are some things we can get past, and separate the art from the artist, and some things we can't, but it's borderline universally true

Anyway I hope this brings a little peace to some of his victims

If you can be visibly queer, do it. Role models and visibility still matter so much.

It's ok if you can’t come out too. What matters most is who you choose to invite in.
