I'm a self-taught Swedish artist with a backround in academic game development. I currently work part time as an art instructor with senior citizens while developing a tabletop roleplaying game.

Especially horrifying that with everything going on, the nazis walking the streets and corridors of power are so cowardly and stupid a lot of stuff just chugs on like normal through inertia, making it seem like everything's fine.

I still can't believe it's said so casually. This is stuff places like North Korea, or Khmer Rouge Cambodia, or isolationist Albania would use euphemisms for, if they even openly said it at all.

ICE abducted a 15-year-old autistic boy during a bathroom break and kept him hidden for nearly a week.
His mother thought he was missing. Even local police couldn’t find him because ICE never told anyone they had him.

He was selling fruit with his mom when he asked to use the restroom.

Oh! I forgot to mention. This is the mid- to Northern European medieval perspective. It wasn't universal.

Shoes back then were disposeable and people were expected to go through a few pairs yearly. They provide surprisingly good protection since soles are just naturally tough so taking the edge off the worst sharp and damp goes a long way, but not meant to last.
