This is my ink drawing of Wayland's Smithy, a Neolithic long barrow close to the Ridgeway in Oxfordshire. It is said that if you leave your horse there with a coin then Wayland will magically reshoe it.
The original artwork is now available on my Etsy shop here: shorturl.at/HDzSI

Button Bog spotted in #Tain what a traveller that book is. More beautiful writing from Jess Smith. If you cannot make it to Tain, get it here tippermuirbooks.co.uk or from other bookshops, though I think the trip north is worth it (south if you live farther up).

Mrs Bogan of Bogan as she went by early in her career was a daughter of #Perthshire Born & died there - so we claim her. And she may have a crater on #Mercury named after her but she is named after one of the 2 moons of the planet Tython - sadly the one where the naughty Je'daii were sent. #StarWars
Carolina Oliphant, Lady Nairne (1766–1845) was born #OTD, 16 Aug. Oliphant wrote over 100 popular songs to traditional Scottish tunes. Although she shunned publicity & never acknowledged her authorship, along with Robert Burns she is one of the most significant figures in Scottish folksong

The Perth 'Steamies' in good company in Perth Art Gallery - Tippermuir at the opening of the Millais exhibition. What an exciting & important venue the Gallery has become. One of the best things about the Museum's move was the freedom it has given the Gallery. And is it soaring!
