When we get the chance, me & my partner in life, art, work & (minor) crime compose music.

Since signing up here I'm delighted at how many #ScottishIndependence supporters have found/followed me.

This is a song of optimism & hope for a better future for us all.

It is interesting that Jeremy Corbyn has been an MP for 42 years and led the opposition for 5 years.

He's been on Question Time once.

Nigel Farage, 44 times.

Our Media is corrupt, corrupt to the core.

Strong 'bald men squabbling over comb' vibes to this attack line. Yes, Nigel Farage drove the economy into a cul de sac with Brexit. But the dude who refused to reverse it out is Keir Starmer.

For an Indy (not SNP) majority at HR26

SNP 1
S Greens 2

Ross, Sarwar, et al have list seats

Both votes SNP allows unionists in bc the system works that way to prevent a single party majority

The truth is that the SNP don't want to depend on another party for control

“I’m old enough to remember when mainstream British politicians, who should know better, stirred up racial hatred as a path to power. You’re old enough to remember too because it was last Tuesday. And it was Robert Jenrick”

Cathartic anger at flag-flying racism.

This, unfortunately, is one area where the binburners, bigots & their smug, sneering media mouthpieces are going to take a bit of convincing.

Solidarity with all trans and intersex people having their existence debated every time a tv host hasn't done their prep and can't think of any more questions

Unfortunately if he's talking about a 2014-style overall majority based on an SNP 1+2 vote - which he is - it's wildly unlikely we'll ever find out if he's right.

And even if he were, whichever empty suit ends up leading Labour will still never allow a referendum.

Ever since I finished Question Time, Reform have massively been on the attack.

Including a rant from Richard Tice entirely designed to distract from Reform and Russia.

Everyone should know about Nathan Gill, the bribes from Russia and the link to Reform.

Comrades & friends, Expect the Holyrood elections in 2026 to be the nastiest election ever. The unionists know that they are on a hiding to nothing, So they will conflate, obfuscate & damn well lie to promise you that the empire is still #BetterTogether What they won't do is recognise any of this.👇

Vote SNP 1 Scottish Greens 2 in 2026. The attached table shows the impact of shifting SNP vote to Scottish Greens at increasing % levels. This shows that indy supporting parties could hold 73% of the Scottish Parliament seats with a 59 seat super majority.

I would urge the public to notice that the Epstein scandal to Epstein death happened roughly 2016-2019 and to *put two and two together about what has happened here*, not least because there are now articles about how Britain is being run by the Tony Blair Institute for Change.
flyingrodent.bsky.social
Of course he did. When did people know this, and why is it news now, rather than previously, given its unlikely nobody knew about this.

That's good to know. Presumably means he'd *have* to contest a GE on the promise of a referendum.

Zack Polanski is a breath of fresh air, because he is exposing far right populism and all the lies. And everyone is listening because they've had enough. Labour , Tories and Reform are all the same now and that's why he stands out exposing all their hypocrisy.

BREAKING: A legal challenge has been launched in the Scottish courts to overturn the 'draconian' ban on Palestine Action

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt & assume that the omission of SNP & Plaid leaders is because they are not eligible to be a future Westminster PM.

I guess Reeves is there because they appreciate even Labour aren't stupid enough to contest a GE with Starmer as leader.
tlazolteotl1519.bsky.social
That's a good & relevant question. Clearly the Scottish Greens support it - but should Polanski, as leader of a specifically rUK party, be elected as PM (improbable but not impossible) - what does that mean for Scotland?

I'm hugely impressed by him, but his position on Scotland needs clarification.

Even though Scottish Greens are a completely separate party to the Green Party in England, they would be wise to get Polanski up as guest speaker at their events during the build-up to next year's Scottish elections, whilst his star is in the ascendancy

Labour are heading for a spanking in May.

Net leader approval:

Reeves -37
Starmer -39

Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Yes, the very same IEA that brought us Liz Truss’ disastrous mini budget. 🤦🏽‍♂️

A Voice for Scotland: The Passion for Independence

There comes a moment in every nation’s story when it must choose between being carried by the tide of others or charting its own course. For Scotland, that moment is now. Independence is not about flags or borders.

Private Eye offers up an excellently scornful commentary on the relentless polling. It’s become ridiculous and has oversimplified our politics to dangerous levels of stupid and irresponsible.
SHOCK POLL:
NIGEL FARAGE WILL BE PM TOMORROW
IN an amazing poll conducted
by The Pointless Polling Company, it was revealed that voters' intentions
may well change over the next three and a half years and at present it's 100 percent impossible to guess what the next government might look like.
However, 99 percent of journalists
agree that it would be much more fun if we had an election tomorrow and everybody resigned and everything was chaos and Farage had a go at being PM, just for the hell of it, because it was so much fun when
Brexit happened and then the government kept falling every five minutes and we could write endless pieces about (cont. p94)
