yeah why might it be harder for someone to break 50% in a three-way race versus a two-way race. obviously it has something to do with ideology.

If polls hold, Spanberger is looking more

likely to clear 50% in her more swingy state than Mamdani is in a city so Democratic that only 6 of 51 city council members are Republicans.

Dems nationally say that matters a lot for thinking what comes next.

Jeffries is marginally better. I just don't think he's the answer when Schumer goes. But, he will be the DNC party consensus. Unless there is a dramatic positive outcome from a left insurgency.

Schumer's biggest problem was giving up on collegiallity and norms that no longer exist. There is no good faith on the R side of the aisle. Period.
