So I’m still gonna do my Gundam Base post tomorrow because I wanna do it at my laptop for a bit of a long thread.

But before I build one of the new kits I picked up, I forgot I started this little lady before I left - and made a little time to wrap her up!

One cool bit of detailing they did, is to avoid as many seam lines as possible on the legs, there’s the inner joints and almost “frame,” and the. The thigh and calf/shin are each one single piece that slips into/over it, rather than sandwiched halves. Keeps it smooth and solid!

For a little context too, here’s what the Nine-Tails *usually* comes built as… it’s significant scaled down for the Matsuri variant.

Stock image, I don’t have her on hand… though probably should since I have Tamamonomae built and Tsukuyomi waiting in the back log…

This is a bit on the racier side of these kits, with her having very little up top - and even less on the bottom. But the build was nice and simple and overall no major complaints, just a few bits that liked to fall off when posing, but are fine once done.

The semi-clear pink looks nice too!

Usually Megami Device kits have a ton of stuff in them, but this particular variant was very directly and simple.

Asra Nine-Tails Matsuri takes the overall design of the Nine-Tails and trims it down to just a normal body and a few accessories, and a… questionably practical wardrobe.

It was JUST announced in Japan, I think the release even in Japan isn’t until January. I wouldn’t expect it state side til probably at least then, maybe later.

It’s always been on my list, but since I still haven’t watched SEED I’ve been waiting to really pull the trigger. But this kinda clear kit is my absolute 100% jam, so once it goes up for order I’ll be all over it 😍

I’ll be waiting for the clear one now but I’m excited, it’s been a kit on my radar but it’s a bigger plunge $$$ obviously, haha. But a mechanical clear that shows off the amazing multi tone gold inner frame? Hell yeah.
