Sadly it seems the pond has been infested with gold fish.

These invasive & fast reproducing aquarium fish are related to the Carp & can grow upto 8-9lb in the right conditons

About 4km east of L'Amoreaux pond lies Milliken Pond the headwaters of the east branch of West Highland Creek. Fall has arrived here as well.
