He directed A better Tomorrow 3.

I dont know if I'd call him before John Woo.

I was expecting you were gonna blow my mind with some sort of hidden fact or movies that John Woo ripped off.

No honest question. Who before John Woo was doing choreographed and stylized mix of martial arts and firearms as the focal centre piece of the movie?

As far as I've ever heard anyone speak of it, John Woo started that in 1985 with A Better Tomorrow.
