The Imperial Pub closes today for last time after 81 years. It opened in 1944, when WWII had not yet ended, a part of Toronto history. The pub was a Ryerson hangout, just steps away from the photography building. So many good times were had there, and I'm thankful for the memories.

I spent the summer of 1981 working on a railway maintenance gang in the wilds of northern Alberta. It was an unforgettable experience, and I'm thankful to have 25 rolls of film that document that summer.
