Would you like to know if I’ve ever dealt with healthcare elsewhere? I have-Multiple countries! Also, have I ever worked in healthcare? I have. Face-to-face patient care all the way through the first few years of Covid. I seen the effects of private equity on healthcare. But lecture me a bit more.

I cannot tell you this strongly enough. This is like the time one of my supervisees brought in a research paper to show me I was wrong about something without noticing that I was an author on that paper. You have no idea about my views or IRL behavior. Which you’re making comically clear.

If the US can manage to recover, we need to repeal Citizens United and limit stock trading for elected officials. But we are not where we are at because of Dems, who pushed equal rights and healthcare. Their failure to stop evil is apparent, but Xi and Putin would LOVE your take.

The only war in Portland right now is against fallen leaves when competing for parking spots. This is silly. Add PIRC hotline to your contacts. Help your neighbors. Help out local mutual aid groups by volunteering somehow. And use humor to show the absurdity of war zone claims. pircoregon.org

And while a chunk of his supporters are poorly educated, it’s the rich folk who truly put him in power. A poor person with a gun and an agenda is going to hurt people, but not as many as a rich person with access to system wide power.

Sorry for the confusion. I wasn’t referring to your use of the term broad. I just used it myself. Republican polling shows double digits for disapproval recently, which has been growing. People aren’t happy, but I suspect we have a long road to travel on this one, with years of unrest coming

Oh, you are not the only one concerned. I suspect some of it will come down to finances. Blue states may try a soft secession, which will cripple the federal government and red states (California‘s economy is larger than most country economies). A lot of people are going to suffer though.
