Meanwhile, CEOs are paid 280x as much as the typical worker.

Don’t be angry at workers for using food stamps.

Be angry at the corporations paying them so little that they need them.

Not okay here, this shut down and now we found out my husband's cancer is growing despite active treatment. Heading to The James. I am not okay, I am a basket case.

Appalachia weighing in here. More than one of my close friends children call me aunt. No relation at all. Most importantly, my adult children call said women aunt as well. As adults! One of my daughters married my best friend's son. And they still call us Aunt!!!

26 states are suing the USDA and the Trump administration to do what they are legally required to do—fund SNAP. They have the authority, they have the ability, and they have the money. Letting families go hungry is a Donald Trump choice and it’s not even one that follows the law.

I have always given anyone who tricks or treats at my home and full size candy bar. I have a reputation in the neighborhood. This year, I am adding microwave popcorn to my treats. Together, they are not exactly a meal but together they may fill a hungry tummy.

With SNAP gone for Ohioans the first of November, today we cried in our staff meeting and brainstormed how to provide Thanksgiving turkeys to over 800 families in our county. I hate to cry in front of my coworkers, it pisses me off. Anyone have 800 turkeys?

My husband with cancer will have to just fight with there is, no new clinical studies for his type of cancer.

The Head Start in my office shutters today.

My agency is now in financial warning, so I may be out of work.
