I’ve learned that I can pretty much eat what I want—if it’s within reason and in moderation—and I will maintain my weight (40 lbs. over ideal, but still).

OR I can cut out all sugar and alcohol, limit my carbs, force-feed myself vegetables, and increase my protein… and I won’t lose a goddamn pound.

Popping in to add that my 19 year old got into music *because* of Billy Joel. When he was 8, he was messing around on a keyboard and declared out of nowhere that he wanted a piano. I said if he learned the intro to Angry Young Man, I’d get him one. Guess who got a (thrifted) piano 1 month later?
