Yuriko watched Stronger on VHS. She was named after Tackle by her dad. At the very least, she might have watched Kuuga. But yeah, most likely the ones who made this are older.

This week's Tojima Wants to Be a Kamen Rider still doesn't answer my question why they ignore the Heisei era, but who cares, Yuriko's dad is a Showa head and loves Tackle and Tackle is kinda cool.

Watching Shin Godzilla for the first time and I am so glad that I did not sell or give away my DVD of it because the current Blu-ray that I own is missing the on-screen text. Guess I will need to upgrade to the recent GKids 4K/BD release then.

Just watched the two live-action Attack on Titan films. Might be the only versions of Eren and Mikasa that got a happy ending. I mean, they did not follow up that end credits stinger, might as well assume that they got married and settled down.

Rewatching the live action Attack on Titan movie made me appreciate the live action Titan suits more. It's a mix of both practical and CG and their design for the Attack Titan feels like it came straight from the manga. It looks so good.

Rewatching the first live action Attack on Titan movie and this scene made me remember the theory I had that the live action films take place after the manga/anime. That the story of Attack on Titan is an endless cycle.

Just watched this week's No. 1 Sentai Gozyuger. Great episode, needs more Sumino. Felt like this episode would've been better if both Rikuo and Sumino dealt the finisher. Sumino needs her get back.

All caught up with No. 1 Sentai Gozyuger. Hoeru choosing his found family over his real family sums up who he is thus far. The TegaSword Gozyu Wolf debut was just a bonus. Only thing missing is a proper team roll call.

Just got My Hero Academia: You're Next BD, Ultraman Z BD, and Yu Yu Hakusho Vol. 9.

Biggest pet peeve is that my MHA movie BDs don't have consistent spines. Did not help that the 4th movie switched movie distributors. At least I got all MHA movies. Only 7 vols left for a complete YYH set.

I will not get sick and tired of saying this. Akane-banashi is easily, the best new ongoing Shonen Jump manga of the last five years. This week's chapter is an easy 10/10.

Reading more Hana Yori Dango. Can't believe that no HanDan adaptation, not even the anime adapted this story arc. I mean, Tsukushi got involved with a son of a politician! Tsukushi slowly realizing she likes Domyouji!

This is the kind of drama that I like.

For some reason, Disney+ here in the Philippines decided to finally synergize with US Disney+ as the Star brand will be rebranded into Hulu. Prior to the rebrand, all Hulu titles are under the Star branding.

Continued reading Hana Yori Dango (Boys Over Flowers/Meteor Garden). 46 chapters in, and the way Domyouji reacts to everything Tsukushi does is so overdramatic that it's juicy. This series would really thrive it gets adapted with the standard Philippine Teleserye format.

Done watching Yaiba: Samurai Legend. Minor pacing issues with some arcs aside (by that I mean arc went too fast), it's a really solid shonen anime adaptation of a classic manga that I remembered wearing a shirt of when I was a kid. WIT Studio adds this kinetic energy to a classic.

Done reading the Himitsu Sentai Gorenger manga.

The difference between the manga and the TV series is that the manga Gorengers all carry the Silver Shot pistols and fought giant ships and mecha, while the TV series Gorengers get to do more zany stuff. I prefer the TV series.

The way The New History of the DC Universe canon welded a lot of stuff is quite interesting. Like of course it makes sense that Jon Kent was conceived around the time Clark has no powers and was birthed in the One Year Later time skip.
