17% turnout in deputy election suggests that even Labour members are pretty disengaged at the moment.
How many government digital IDs are we going to have?!
Oh, Justin. “[Reform] still came second”. #r4today
When it was announced, I thought adding ‘celebrity’ was a really bad idea. But #celebritytraitors has turned out to be brilliant.
Why is a US basketball story considered to be news on #bbcnews?
110% true.
It's true, the lack of "yourself" is the best thing about Celebrity Traitors
How it IS different, though - and this improves its watchability by at least 10% (not that I don't enjoy the regular series) - is that there are far fewer instances of '100%', 'I voted for yourself' and 'I hope it's not you, though' - then why tf did you vote for them?
If I was a US employer and wanted to compete for labour, I’d give people more holiday. Two weeks is the standard over there. #landofthefree #r4today
Nick has really been shown up by the @bbcnewsnight.bsky.social panel tonight. His bubble ‘politics’ vs people who want to think big about big ideas.

He should have a word with the Sir Keir Starmer of 2020:
Rupert Lowe on the Public Accounts Committee?! How? Why? @bbcnewsnight.bsky.social

If I were running Labour comms I would commission an app called 'Will the Tories/Reform deport you?' then let the reactions on TikTok and Instagram do their work.
Why do the media report the inflation figures in the context of how they compare to what ‘economists’ forecast? The forecasts are pretty much always wrong, so why bother? It’s not really relevant to anything ‘newsworthy’.
Let’s get that JCB on to comment on government economic policy, shall we? But don’t mention how much they have paid to the Tories over the years. Wouldn’t want listeners to accuse #r4today of bias, or anything.
Forget the peppercorn rent, who pays for the staff?
The polarity has flipped on its moral compass.
Crikey. Nick in full hectoring mode this morning on #r4today Is he OK?
Tightening up. They’ll probably close the poll at 48:52
Watching this, ask yourself why the only people who think government policy is good are the big developers and, er, the government.

🚨Small boat migrants getting “private health care” while the rest of us have to use the NHS?!🚨

That’s outrageous!

Or is it?

Might the reality be a little more mundane and a little less clickbait-worthy?

Let’s take a 👀

Good to see the UK news media helping us to focus on the banning of football hooligans. If it wasn’t for that, we’d all be bothering our little heads about Trump’s attempt to scupper an international agreement to decarbonise shipping.
@bbcnewsnight.bsky.social studio guests seem to be a bit unbalanced tonight - both happy to conflate Israel and Judaism. The ban on Israeli football fans in Birmingham is NOT because they would be at risk, it’s because *they will be* the risk.
