Oh we drove through Malton to visit York for a day. We may well return to the area, always good to have a recommendation 👍🏽

Our favourite find during our stay was Planetwise in Bridlington. Not to be missed if you find yourself nearby

Ha! Feels like a small world 😄 It's a great little place serving proper grub - just what you need when you've got a good appetite.

Veganism isn’t about perfection — it’s about participation in change. Each meal is a vote for the world we want to live in.

Thoroughly enjoyed a break from the madness of the world by escaping into the mad world of Moz in the excellent and very funny stage performance of Ideal. Johnny Vegas even made the (very irritating) plastic cup funny. Just brilliant 💚 #Ideal

Two e-book covers by Pathless Pilgrim related to veganism. The left cover, titled “VEGAN COOKING & NUTRITION,” features a bowl of colourful plant-based food—avocado, cherry tomatoes, red onions, green beans, and grains—with chopsticks resting on the bowl, set against a black background. The right cover, titled “AN INTRODUCTION TO VEGANISM AND ANIMAL RIGHTS,” shows a calf standing in a pen, with a white background. Both titles use green and black text, highlighting themes of ethical living and nutritional guidance.

Couldn't agree more - and you're absolutely right, many people are choosing to go vegan for the environment and science backs plant based eating to reduce a carbon footprint. This article undermines all of that.

It's so disappointing to see the @theguardian.com reinforcing misconceptions around veganism. Not all vegans use soya, but most meat eaters will have eaten animals who are fed soya - and of course it's in many foods. But vegans get the blame for destroying the Amazon by those reading such headlines.

Correct headline: 'How the world's taste for MEAT is eating Brazil's Amazon' - a very good point made by @herbivoreclub.bsky.social re @theguardian.com article.

It was excellent! Bridlington is so lucky to have such a lovely shop/café 💚

It was so good, and the mister said it was one of the best pasties he's ever had. High praise from someone who grew up in the west country 😄

Almost didn't go to Bridlington (it's wet & windy today) but Happy Cow found this gem of a place so I'm really glad we made it.
The team there are very friendly, we enjoyed a delicious lunch and got chatting with other vegans. Made our day 🌞🌻💚🌱

Oh yum - I do like the look of this! And when you mentioned fruit in the salad, I was thinking apples, pineapple, orange ... not berries. That's a surprise, but how gorgeous 😍

I've only ever been for a day trip but would love to explore the area more.
It also makes a difference visiting outside of school holidays (I'm not a fan of crowded places).
There are loads of places offering vegan options. Even just 10 years ago it was hard to find a café there with soya milk.

First time for us and I can see why you love it - it's absolutely stunning!

They didn't have the woodland mushroom and ale pie so we opted for the Romany Hommity (vegan option comes without cheese) and by 'eck it wa champion!

On the way to Whitby we stopped at Goathland to find the Mallyan Spout Waterfall. The walk was a bit treacherous but it was worth it.

There were many places offering vegan options in York but the Happy Cow app helped us find Junk Soul - a fully vegan outlet, perfect for a quick bite. Opted for the Vegan Vampire 🖤
