That happens all too frequently. People make the same mistakes by suppressing who they are, which is one thing, but to condemn actions that they indulge in is another. They're taking out their self-hatred on others. Those who are happy with themselves don't try to control others.

True. It's human to long for acceptance, but it shouldn't come at the cost of our identities. We should celebrate our differences. When I see people being authentic, I'm inspired to be more myself. Not everyone will understand, but the opinions of one's critics don't determine one's happiness.

The final episode of Boots made me emotional. This show hit me in a way that I haven't been hit in a while. The loss of innocence is heartbreaking, and maintaining friendships in this setting made it all the more tragic. This story will stick with me.
