About a month ago, the Trump administration got rid of the de minimis exemption, whereby packages valued under $800 could slide in without import duties. Now there's a backlog as the government can't process all of this paperwork, leading to UPS just destroying packages

It’s worth revisiting how Kushner himself has spoken about the Strip. At a Harvard Kennedy School event in early 2024, Kushner argued that Israel should “move the people out [of Rafah] and then clean it up,” describing Gaza as “not really a historical precedent” but the product of past wars whose borders could naturally change again. When told that Arab leaders feared Israel would never allow displaced Gazans to return, he replied, “Maybe, but I’m not sure there’s much left of Gaza at this point,” before describing the enclave as “waterfront property” which would be “very valuable.”
