To be an actual war, he has to get it through Congress, Congress ceded too much authority to the President to use the military decades ago.

Also, Congress can operate during the shutdown. Johnson doesn't want to to cover up Epstein.

If Trump wants to go to war, he'll just do it.

Hopefully, we can get him to the Hague for prosecution, but we can't stop him.

Maybe more likely, we can nail him on a 10,000 count impeachment when we retake Congress.

He doesn't have the authority of course, so states will still offer it.

We should all vote on election day and let the MAGA voters mail-in and vote early, so Trump will sue to discard the MAGA vote. (Eldery, e.g., much of MAGA, tend to use mail-in).

Context for anyone not following US political news: Trump is currently tearing down the east wing of the White House to make way for his giant gilded ballroom. Since donors are paying for it, this almost certainly violates the emoluments clause of the Constitution as well as other laws.

The show was stolen by a latino highschool student, Jon Carlos, who gave such a fiery yet compassionate speach in English and Spanish, that I won't be surprised if he runs for President in 44.

I'm not likely to be around then, but I'd vote for him.

The #NoKings rally in #PittsboroNC today was great. Peaceful, Joyful, and Patriotic.

I was expecting 20 people walking around the old courthouse, but it was more like 1000 people assembled in front of the new courthouse.
