MTL but yeah that all seemed to have been the intention! I was just talking to my friend about how I like that everyone in XS has their own intention and focus rather than everyone coming together around one or two sole-focus characters.

Transcript:
Interviewer: What is the position of "Episode II" in the overall story?
Takahashi: The story of Xenosaga as Shion and KOS-MOS is scheduled to conclude with the next episode, Episode III, and this work marks a turning point leading up to that. The intention is to bring an end to the episodes of Jr. and Albedo, and make it a turning point in the story. Director Arai and I discussed the central points for adapting it into a game, and we decided to focus the story on these two this time.
Interviewer: Want to learn more about Episode II?
Takahashi: The characters and events that appear in "Xenosaga Pied Piper," scheduled for release on Vodafone's V-App 256K, are deeply connected to the story of "Episode II." "Pied Piper" centers on Ziggy when he was still alive as a human, but it also features his nemesis and the great-grandfather of the "Pope" who appears in "Episode II." Playing this game will likely give you a better understanding of "Episode II."

Transcript:
Interviewer: How will the relationships between the characters develop from now on?
Takahashi: "Episode II" focuses on Jr., Albedo, and Momo, so I hope you'll first focus on them and then use the various pieces of information surrounding them to predict future developments. As for other characters, there are some unexpected endings in the plans for Allen and Shion. This may also be cut due to space limitations. Up until now, they've acted in a way that got them caught up in incidents, but from now on, I think they'll be much more proactive and act of their own volition.
