I biked home in the dark from North Cambridge recently—which I wouldn’t have felt safe doing before the protected bike lanes.

One thing I love about biking in a city is you can stop & check things out in a way you can’t in a car.

Like the telescopes on Cambridge Common for Observe the Moon night!

We had a great event recently in North Cambridge!

Good conversations about afterschool programs, protecting immigrant residents, safer streets, housing affordability, and responding to the federal government

Love to see (and barely hear) an electric garbage truck on a crisp autumn morning in Cambridge, MA.

Excited for @bostondsa.org’s 1st General Organizing Meeting (GOM)! It was great to learn about the rent control ballot question from Carolyn from Homes For All and be part of a field lead training from Chris and @votejivan.bsky.social.

Thank you to everyone who came out to canvass this morning! Today was a @bostondsa.org day of action for the campaign. And we knocked more than 1k doors!

We had great conversations with Cambridge residents—in multiple languages—about the end of forced broker fees, rodent control, and safer streets

Supporting local businesses AND reducing CO2 emissions? How does it get better than this? #climate #sustainabletransportation

Thanks to Aman for inviting me to join @bos_cafe_bikers for the ride from Lechmere to Huron Village this morning!

Group bike rides to local cafes are a great way to build community and support small businesses.

You can follow them on Instagram and join the next group ride

Beautiful day at the cargo bike test ride at JFK Park along Memorial Drive!

Great opportunity to celebrate community & people-centered streets and talk about improving transportation in Cambridge

The Cambridge Bicycle Safety organization just endorsed two of our LCPN members for Cambridge City Council: @votejivan.bsky.social and Patty Nolan! These candidates are committed to completing the Cambridge bike network, a project that will help lower transport emissions! 🚲 #climatepolicy #cities

The City is also working on fully separating its stormwater and sewage systems, which is almost one hundred year old infrastructure, and has been doing it block by block. Including more info about that below

Combined Sewer Overflows
Important information regarding how stormwater is discharged from City streets.

Happy to connect you with the some of the folks who led the advocacy around this if that'd be helpful

We actually just recently passed a policy order about this! We're asking the MBTA to incorporate a new holding tank and green infrastructure as part of their upcoming redevelopment of the Alewife garage to help deal with this

It was really nice! One of the couple’s parents who apparently came all the way from New Zealand organized it

One of the side effects of working at City Hall is that I get to see a lot of marriage ceremonies in progress.

But today was the first City Hall marriage I’ve seen that included a flash bomb group dance!

Thanks to everyone who came out to canvass this weekend!

We knocked almost 1,000 doors.

And we had great conversations about creating safer streets, expanding after school programs, strengthening tenant protections, ending exclusionary zoning, and building social housing

Also great weather for the Thai Market Fair in Harvard Square

Beautiful weekend to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Cambridge Children’s Center with a block party in Cambridgeport!

It’s a great example of the kind of high quality early childhood program we need to support and help make sure is affordable for all families in Cambridge!

If we can keep the majority on the Council, Cambridge Street will also be safer in the next two years.

It’s part of why I’m running for re-election in November!
