I always knew Liam dressed well and kept things tidy. It’s only in the last several months that I realized that wasn’t just his personality. He grew up in a time where immigrant kids can get jailed and shipped back to a country they don’t even remember. So he’s very by-the-book. #AwesomeCharacters

I actually had a digital art elective with Rocky back in my senior year of high school, spring semester. That's when Rochester brought his family to live in Eloy year-round. Why someone with that kind of money would send his child to a public school, I don't know.

If the idea was to keep him humble, it didn't work. Rocky was a ten-year-old freshman, yet he would regularly correct the other students, including myself. He'd even point out the teacher's mistakes. And between him graduating high school at thirteen and his family having ten times as much money as everyone else in Eloy put together, he's easily the most arrogant person I've ever met.

The good news is, there's a fair chance that Melia's about to murder him.

I think I’m finding a better balance of planning some flexible goal posts and then pantsing my way towards them. Usually I follow that basic path but sometimes a better path emerges in the writing, so I readjust my goal posts and then go back to wandering roughly in their direction.

I’m still finding my best method. I was a super overplanner but I always planned and never wrote. (Decades of detailed outlines, nothing more than couple pages written.) So I tried a more pantsing approach and finally was able to finish a first draft. But it was a mess that still needs tons of work.

I quite enjoyed what you had here! I am terrible at writing messy people, but I often love reading them. And this messy group sounds fascinating! I’m definitely a vote in favor of you working on this story. 😅

Better to read posts like yours and OP and think “That’s interesting. I hadn’t thought of that.” and learn something new from experts and/or people with that lived experience.

But instead some choose concern trolling and asking women to prove their feelings to them in order to accept them as real.

I’m much the same with just sort of feeling my way through it. Sometimes I want the focal character to be POV so we can get a deeper looking at their motivation and/or impact on them. Other times I intentionally want an outsider perspective to judge/comment on what’s happening.

For my fantasy adventure serial #Felcrown, Digs begins to feel worthy after she helps save a bunch of people. It’s the start of a long journey for her but still not exactly healthy thinking she can cure survivor’s guilt by saving others rather than actually dealing with her feelings.

For the familiars, once Daryus looks past his annoyance at the imp, he realizes how much Phraxxiz has suffered and how he puts kindness into the world to help. So he’ll go from despising Phraxxiz to loving him. Awww.

Of course, that could be hindered by the monsters trying to kill them.
