The white supremacist problem in Portland ended with a murder of an Ethiopian college student. Tom Metzger a white supremacist encouraged the murder. He became the basis of Stacy Keech's character in "American History X". Terrible times here.

The Nazis were a real problem in Portland in the late 80's. Gangs of skinheads would hang out on street corners and try recruit any white guy who walked past (like me). One gang were "SHARP" skinheads (Against Racial Prejudice) and they apparently existed to start fights with the other two gangs.

That reminds me that thousands, maybe millions of people watched Biden's inauguration because they were told that the Secret Service was going to arrest Biden in the middle of it and drag him away to jail.

My affiliate refused to air the first season because the station owner heard it was going to be offensive childish humor. Instead it showed old movies hosted by some local guy who had been a C-list actor in the 50s.

Of course SNL was a hit so the station had to air it the next season.
