My first job was building Visual C++ Windows apps. I think it's safe to say this is a much more niche skillset than it was 25 years ago
The first obstacle being.... The constitution
Well then get ready to not be surprised because Kat did indeed tell her before the interview that she couldn't talk about it.
Ooh another dork to block
I can't wait for the consultant class to see this obvious success (regardless of actual outcome tho I can't see him losing at this point) and to double down on the need to do the exact opposite of everything he did.
For real, so annoying. "Turn off all devices" or "Navigate to [address]" work totally fine in Google assistant but even those SIMPLE THINGS still fucked up like 40% of the time with Gemini. But it was oh so apologetic!
Concessions were shut down before it went to extra innings so I presume so?
I tried switching to Gemini on my Pixel a while back and it's consistently worse at the handful of things I use Google Assistant for. It's astounding that companies keep pushing this garbage on people.
Wow, so insightful

If you have home plate seats at the World Series and they catch your ass dinking around on your phone back there a big claw game thing should come down and pluck you up and out by the head.
Like,.I know there are tiresome people like this all over but the odds of SO MANY of them congregating here and not being pantsed right out the door seem very low
What's worse is they DID go and google it. And then still wrote their annoying response.

Every kid I know that grew up with the metric system was still taught that an inch = roughly 2.5cm. it's a trivial calculation.
When I finally gave up on Twitter for good and came to Bluesky full time, there was a theory going around that all these weird aggressive responses over trivial bullshit were part of a botnet aiming to make life here unpleasant. I still half believe it tbh
As a Canadian, learning that Americans don't use tea towels is odd... But my Irish wife was constantly annoyed at how slow our electric kettle takes to boil water on our piddly 120v electricity, when she first moved here. I get why they're not more popular
For a very good reason: 120v electric supply means they are way slower than in the UK!
Probably more of a broken clock Sitch I'd wager
The difference between "music playing while a player walks to the mound" and "for some fucking reason the Jonas Brothers are playing a full song with terrible audio, pausing the game in between innings" is vaster than the Grand Canyon.

in one of the Pagan temples, there stood for many ages the vast skeleton of a whale

I know a lot of people talk about "Ken Griffey's swing", "John Olerud's swing" but for my money there is nothing more beautiful than Alejandro Kirk:

- 5'7 and built like a Welsh corgi
- basically drops halfway into a splits on each swing
- each swing is a Street Fighter "Shooooryuken" uppercut
The Blue Jays are going to give me a heart atrack
Lmao Sick Kids in Toronto has a commercial before every movie here, marking their 150th anniversary
And therein lies the problem - you never know what amount of enjoyment you're going to get out of a game until you've invested in it. And ain't nobody investing 300 dollars in something they might end up getting 10 hours (or less!) of enjoyment out of.
There are very very very few AAA games that I can say I've gotten $300 worth of time and enjoyment from. And there's no fucking way I'm plonking down $300 on something that I might play for 2 hours and decide isn't for me. Give me a 2-week guaranteed money back and I might consider it.
